Clear terms for using Blooml

How these terms work

These Terms of Service apply to the Blooml mobile app and the blooml.app website (together, the "Service"). By downloading the app, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Blooml. If you purchase a subscription through Apple, your use is also subject to Apple's App Store and payment terms.

What these terms cover

To keep this page practical instead of vague, Blooml's terms are organized around the actual product behavior we operate today:

1. What Blooml is — a personal mood tracking and reflection app for iOS, not a medical or emergency service.
2. Accounts and access — how sign-in, device security, and eligibility work.
3. Subscriptions and billing — premium access sold through Apple, with entitlement status managed through RevenueCat.
4. Your entries and notes — you keep ownership, while Blooml gets a narrow license to store and process them to operate the Service.
5. Data-related features — offline storage, cloud sync through Supabase, CSV export, and account deletion.
6. Boundaries and risk — acceptable use rules, health disclaimers, service availability limits, and liability limits.

What Blooml is

Blooml is a personal mood tracking and reflection app. The current product lets users record mood ratings, optional notes, and tags, complete onboarding questions, review their history, view insights, and export mood history from inside the app.

Blooml is designed to work offline first. When you are signed in, parts of your account and mood-tracking data may sync to Blooml's cloud backend so the Service can support account-based features, syncing, and data recovery.

Blooml is currently distributed for iOS through Apple's App Store. Some features may require a paid subscription.

Eligibility and your account

You may use Blooml only if you are legally permitted to do so where you live. If you are below the minimum age required by applicable law, do not use the Service.

Account access depends on third-party identity and platform systems. In the current iOS app, account sign-in is handled through Sign in with Apple and Blooml's authentication backend. You are responsible for keeping control of your device, your Apple account, and any other credentials or recovery methods tied to your use of Blooml.

You agree to provide accurate information when required and not to impersonate another person or access another user's account without authorization.

Subscriptions and billing

Blooml may offer free and premium access. Premium features are currently sold through the Apple App Store as in-app subscriptions. Pricing, trial availability, billing period, and renewal terms are presented by Apple at the time of purchase.

Billing, renewals, cancellations, payment methods, and refund handling are controlled by Apple under your App Store account terms. Blooml uses RevenueCat to receive subscription status updates and determine whether premium access should be enabled on your account, but RevenueCat is not your merchant of record.

• If you cancel, premium access may remain active until the end of the paid period recognized by Apple.
• If a payment fails, expires, or is reversed, premium access may be removed when Apple and RevenueCat report the updated status.
• You can use the app's restore purchase flow to ask Apple and RevenueCat to re-check your premium entitlement.

Your content and license to operate the Service

You retain ownership of the content you create in Blooml, including mood entries, notes, tags, and responses you provide during onboarding.

By using Blooml, you give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, transmit, sync, reproduce, and process that content only as needed to operate the Service. That includes showing your history and insights, syncing data across signed-in use, generating CSV exports you request, maintaining security, and providing support.

You are responsible for the legality of the content you add to Blooml and for making sure you have the right to submit it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Blooml. That means, among other things, you will not:

• attempt unauthorized access to another user's account, Blooml systems, or connected third-party systems;
• reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service;
• use bots, scripts, or other automation to abuse the Service;
• use Blooml to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or malicious material; or
• use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party platform rules.

We may investigate abuse, suspend access, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users, Blooml, or our service providers.

Privacy, sync, export, and deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information. These terms work alongside that policy.

The current app stores Blooml data locally on your device so it can work offline. If you use Blooml with an account, Blooml also uses Supabase for authentication, cloud database storage, and server-side functions that support the account-based experience.

Blooml currently includes an in-app CSV export feature. Once you share an export outside the app, Blooml no longer controls that copy. Blooml also includes an in-app account deletion flow. When deletion completes, Blooml deletes the associated account through the backend and wipes Blooml data stored locally on the device.

Service availability and changes

Blooml depends on your device, operating system, internet connectivity, Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, and other infrastructure providers. Because of that, we cannot promise the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We may add, remove, improve, suspend, or change features over time, including premium features, pricing presentation, and support workflows. We may also modify the Service to respond to security, legal, operational, or product needs.

Health and safety disclaimer

Blooml is a reflection and wellness tool. It is not a medical device, therapist, clinical service, diagnostic tool, crisis line, or emergency service. Blooml does not provide medical advice, mental health treatment, or emergency intervention.

If you believe you may be in crisis, may harm yourself or someone else, or need urgent medical or mental-health support, stop using the app for that purpose and contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

Termination

You may stop using Blooml at any time. You may also delete your account from inside the app if you want Blooml account data removed.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we believe you have violated these terms, created security or legal risk, or used the Service in a way that could harm Blooml, our providers, or other users.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blooml is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of bugs or data loss.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blooml and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, use, or data arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our providers, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice through the app or the website.

Your continued use of Blooml after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
